Customer Spotlight: Hot Springs Fire Dept
The Hot Springs Fire Department is an all-risk, full-service fire department, composed of 76 professional firefighters. We proudly provide fire protection, medical aid, rescue, hazardous materials response, and a variety of other services to the public.
Hot Springs is the eleventh-largest city in Arkansas and the county seat of Garland County. The city, with a population of 35,000, is set among several natural hot springs for which the city is named.
How do you use Rhodium?
We use Rhodium for several events that occur yearly in Hot Springs.
- Oaklawn Racetrack is a large visitor draw for the city bringing in over 30,000 people a weekend from Jan-April. The final event at Oaklawn racetrack is the Arkansas Derby which draws over 70,000 visitors for the weekend. In 2016, Rhodium was used by the Hot Springs Fire Department, Hot Springs Police Department, Garland County Sheriff Office, and GC Department of Emergency Management during five different weekends at Oaklawn providing accountability and incident management for JHAT teams.
- St. Patrick Day Parade is a nationally recognized parade known for being the Shortest Parade in America. This single event will bring in over 20,000 visitors to our downtown area. Rhodium is used for accountability and tracking of first responders during the parade.
- Spa Blast is a yearly fireworks show within the boundaries of the infield at Oaklawn Racetrack. On Fourth of July night over 18,000 people fill the infield for a fireworks show provided. Rhodium is used for accountability and tracking of personnel.
